What We Do
Each year, Sunway-PAIR hosts at least one open event regarding topics of interest to Harvard-PAIR.

This includes one seminar-style event, on a topic regarding Asian and International Relations and one case competition-style event, on a case study similar to one that could be seen at HPAIR.

Starting from 2019, we will also be hosting at least one HPAIR alumni event as well.

Events
Pivoting Public Policy
2023
The SPAIR Case Competition 2023 aims to provide tertiary level students with a platform and opportunity to be involved in public policy planning. The focus of this year’s case competition is on education and gender development. Both of which are important factors in terms of human capital and hence are crucial to Malaysia’s development into the future. Participants are also required to identify and resolve issues critically and holistically as their proposed solutions will be evaluated thoroughly including implementation, feasibility, sustainability and performance indicators.

Sustainable Summer Market

Beauty Inside Out
2019
A fair themed Beauty Inside Out
was held on 29 April 2019 and 30 April 2019 at Boulevard, Sunway College, from 9.00AM to 4.00PM.
We brought in vendors related to our event’s theme, which served to promote the importance of body wellness to the student body of Sunway. Students were given the opportunity to learn more about inner/outer beauty, wellness and the chance to visit and purchase beauty products on campus.

HPAIR Asia Conference
2018

The 2018 HPAIR Asia Conference will bring together 600 delegates from more than 60 different countries and 150 speakers for a 5-day conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Asia’s astounding growth over the past decades has not been without challenges. Solutions to wide-ranging crises remain elusive; alarming human rights abuses against women, refugees, and minorities remain unanswered; rising wealth inequality, catalyzed by globalization and corruption, is still unaddressed. The 2018 HPAIR Asia Conference will focus on the theme of Sustainable Disruption, as we search for ways to continue rapid innovation and progress while ensuring that we consider higher order consequences of these changes and their impact on the Asia-Pacific region well into the future.
